HE and Careers Adviser

Morgan Hunt are currently working with a leading FE College in London who are currently seeking to appoint a HE and Careers Adviser based in Central London. The HE and Careers Adviser will need to hold a Level 6 Careers Qualification or equivalent and will be responsible for organising and creating careers education programmes and supporting students with their career aspirations. This is a full time permanent contract paying up to £32,000.

The HE and Careers Adviser will be responsible for:

• Assisting in planning, writing and delivery of careers education programmes for students in collaboration with the Careers team
• Providing one to one confidential interviews to students supporting their career aspirations
• Participating in recruitment events, providing information and advice in a range of settings including open days, schools, colleges
• Following up enquiries and leads gathered to enable the college to actively recruit new learners
• Supporting tutors in their role to deliver careers education, higher education, apprenticeships, employment and training programmes

• The HE and Careers Adviser will need to have:
• Degree plus qualification in Careers Guidance (Level 6 careers equivalent) or a Level 6 in Careers Guidance Qualification
• Experience of successful development and delivery of careers and higher education programmes to 16-19 year olds and adults
• Experience of developing successful links with higher education institutions and employers
• Knowledge and understanding of 14-19 and adult academic and vocational curriculum
• Knowledge of current issues and developments in careers and higher education including those relating to widening participation
