Are you a Head of PMO, looking for a new exciting, flexible role, at a non-ministerial government department, with an array of exciting possibilities?
The purpose of the role is to be responsible for management of the organisation's change programme through the provision and coordination of project management support and providing a single view of change.
You will have a comprehensive understanding of the organisation's change projects.
Up to £72K (Excellent Benefits package including Civil Service Pension Scheme)
1-year Fixed Term Contract (potential extension to 18 months)

The Role -
-Develop and drive forward the organisation's maturity in the change management space with the objective of taking the organisation to 'mature' by the end of 12-18 months
-Ensure that they have the skills that they need through a programme designed to increase the capability and knowledge of SROs and project managers so that they think beyond project/IT outputs to embedding project outcomes including change and behavioural shifts.
-Lead their portfolio of projects to ensure that their roadmap is joined up and holistic, with clear benefits identified, creating a single view of change and smoothing the impact across the year, avoiding all change landing at one time.
-Ensure that their roadmap is deliverable, holding others to account for meeting key milestones within budget and resource, challenging plans that are unrealistic or out of step with the wider change portfolio.
-Investment requirements and dependencies including people, finance, estates and IT requirements should be clearly set out at the beginning or projects and are monitored throughout the project lifecycle, with any changes to requirements flagged and reassessed.
-Role modelling and championing change and collaborative working will be critical and investing in the capability of others.
-Reviewing their approach to project management so that they have a system that works for them and is right fit, minimising bureaucracy whilst ensuring they have sufficient controls and accountability in place.
