Head of Volunteering - Leading UK Charity - Remote working
This is an exciting time to join one of the UK's leading charities as their Head of Volunteering.
Reporting in to the Assistant Director of People you will be responsible for developing and delivering their Volunteering strategy. Your key accountabilities will include:-
- Developing new and innovative approaches to volunteering
- Working with the People Partnering team to ensure consistent high quality volunteering support for all directorates
- Working in collaboration with the Head of Talent Acquisition and the Reward Manager to develop a strategy to recruit, reward and retain volunteers
- Developing a high performing, remote volunteering team to ensure a consist but agile and adaptive service
- Leading the development and delivery of volunteering guidance, procedures, and policies
- Using customer insight and business data to develop appropriate ways of working.
You should have a track record of developing and leading a high performing team in a large complex organisation. Experience of leading, designing and delivering programmes and activities needs to be combined with experience of delivering solutions. A strong customer service focus and an analytical mindset is essential. Experience of volunteering would be useful but is not essential.
