HVAC Maintenance Engineer


Job description

Morgan Hunt are currently working with a College based in South East London, in their search for HVAC Maintenance Engineers. The role is an exciting opportunity for a maintenance engineer who has experience within the Public and Education Sectors.

As a cleaner, you will be responsible for minor repairs, preventative maintenance and daily plant checks, reporting directly to hard services manager with any defects found. You should have a mechanical bias, with some electrical appreciation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that plant is operating through daily checks
  • Filter changes
  • BMS awareness (building management system)
  • Contractor warding
  • An appreciation of the basic operation of refrigeration systems
  • Troubleshooting boilers, ventilations and air conditioning service equipment
  • Monitoring HVAC systems
  • Travelling to different locations to service and test HVAC units and systems
  • Finding faults and carrying out repairs and maintenance
  • Ordering the parts for repair

Personal Specification

  • Previous HVAC Maintenance/Service experience
  • Enhanced DBS (once can be processed for you if needed)
  • Physical fitness and stamina
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Understanding of building and construction
  • Capable of using tools and machines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good customer service skills
  • Logical thinking skills
  • Ability to use your initiative
