Temporary role, £250-£300 Per day


Morgan Hunt are working with a leading provider of social housing in Stevenage, currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to work as part of the Assets & Programme Management team.

The role will be to manage a range planned maintenance programmes, taking full ownership of various component replacement programmes such as Kitchens & Bathrooms, Roof Replacements, Windows and Doors etc. You will be the dedicated Project Manager reporting into the Programme Manager.

Main responsibilities;

  • The Project Manager will ensure that all relevant goals in the project are met, be responsible for the successful procurement, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of a project or projects.
  • The Project Manager will work closely with all partners and stakeholders such as Architects, Engineers, Surveyors, Service Providers / Contractors and Residents, and line managing the Clerk of Works allocated to this post.
  • The role will be required to carry out the full range of contract administration duties in relation to works procured under Joint Contracts Tribunal or Term Partnering Contract (JCT, TPC) and other forms of contract.
  • Residents and other end users - Co-ordinating and managing all processes necessary to prepare residents and other end users for the proposed works including formal resident consultation events for both leaseholders and tenants.
  • Staff Management - Responsible for the Clerk of Works and any other staff allocated to the post numbers dictated by the number and type of projects being managed at any one time.

About you;

  • Excellent Communicator
  • Experience Microsoft Office Packages in particular Excel, Word and Power point
  • Experience of monitoring programmes and setting targets
  • Building Contract Knowledge both JCT and TPC forms
  • Knowledge of the CDM regulations.
  • Substantial experience as a crafts person or technician in construction housing refurbishment or civil engineering or equivalent
