Job purpose

To service and maintain lifting equipment to an excellent standard

Key tasks

• Insurance inspections - Attending sites, examining a wide
  variety of lifting equipment and issuing reports to clients

• Condition surveys - Surveying existing plant to provide a
  report upon the incumbent service provider's service delivery, compliance with current Health & Safety Legislation, Disability Discrimination Act compliance and short/medium/long term
  comments in respect to lift cycle analysis of the plant. Provide an overview report of possible options for either refurbishment of existing installation of possible replacement with a new pre-engineered modular design solution

• Equipment audits - Carry out visual surveys of existing installations to 'benchmark' the installation against our in-house predetermined 'quality' expectations and produce reports

• Maintenance audits - Providing professional advice on the
  incumbent service provider as to their overall performance and service delivery and produce reports

• Travelling independently to attend customer sites/premises as required

• Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of products and full range of accessories

• Completing test certificates and associated paperwork in a timely and accurate manner

• Abide by Health & Safety regulations at all times

• To work in a manner that is methodical, efficient, considerate and respectful to clients at all times - providing excellent customer service

• Carry out other reasonable duties as deemed necessary by the Senior Associate

Essential

Assessment method

Qualified (or equivalent experience) to at least NVQ 3 - Lift Engineering

Proven experience of carrying out service/maintenance lift inspections

Experience of independently diagnosing / repairing a variety of lifts

Experience working autonomously in a customer facing role

Good written and spoken English

Excellent understanding of current Health & Safety procedures and standards applicable to the job role
