Morgan Hunt are working with The Advocacy Project who are on the search for a permanent Care Act Advocate.
Care Act Advocates help people to understand their rights under the Care Act. This involves supporting clients to be involved in all decisions about their care and support, including local authority assessments, care reviews, care and support planning or safeguarding processes.
Independent Advocacy is about giving a person as much control as possible over their lives, helping them understand information and what they want and need.
As a Care Act Advocate, you will provide advocacy in various settings including the community, people's homes, and hospital settings including mental health wards.
To apply you should have an understanding of the role and responsibilities of an advocate. You should also have an understanding of issues faced by people with mental health conditions, physical health conditions and learning disabilities.
