Trusts and Grants Manager

Permanent

Central London with remote working

£40,000 per annum

Full Time - 37 hours per week

Morgan Hunt are proud to be partnering with a Not-for-Profit organisation who are currently recruiting for a Trusts and Grants Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. You will be required to work in their Central London office for two days a week with remote working for the remaining three days.

Responsibilities:

Some of your duties and responsibilities as a Trusts and Grants Manager will include:

• Lead on the development and implementation of the trusts and grants strategic plan.
• Manage and develop a portfolio of trust and grants funders, securing five and six-figure funding.
• Line manage the Trusts and Grants team to help deliver the income generation plan, including Performance Reviews, objective and target setting and monthly supervision to measure performance, identify and implement any support required or remedial actions.
• Manage large and complex existing and potential partnerships to assist all joint bid processes
• Ensure focused delivery of all trusts and grants income in line with annual targets.
• Lead on the overarching trusts and grants stewardship programme and management of relationships with funders.
• Ensure a robust prospect research programme is in place and developed.
• Work together with the Fundraising and Communications Director and the Services Director to develop robust cases for support.
• Work with the Philanthropy Director to ensure any leads are effectively followed up.
• Tailor applications to the needs and requirements of funders, where this aligns with the organisations strategic priorities.
• Produce timely and high standard reporting for funders.
• Review and approve all trusts and grants applications for support prior to submission, unless otherwise agreed with the Fundraising and Communications Director.
• Keep management reporting systems up to date to ensure that there is a continuous pipeline of potential support for medium and long term success.
• Keep accurate records of approaches made and the status of relationships, including updating the CRM database.
• Help implement a 'best in sector' philosophy and account management to ensure lifetime value is maximised.
• Provide written monthly reports on results and progress and other reporting as required, including for Fundraising Committee meetings.
• Provide guidance, support and advice to other members of the team and work closely with other functions to make the most of any opportunities that arise.
• Liaise with the departmental Managers and service delivery staff to ensure that as delivery evolves it can be funded.
• Provide management cover across the Fundraising Department as required.
• Demonstrate accountability to donors, supporters and volunteers and operating at all times with openness, honesty and transparency.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and legislation and protect the welfare of service users and all other children and young people/vulnerable adults that have contact with the organisation.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven successful experience of soliciting, managing and securing five and six-figure trusts and grants funding.
• Thorough understanding of the essential components of trust and grants fundraising strategies and proven experience of strategy implementation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Substantial experience developing and maintaining relationships with trust and grants funders.
• Ability to manage your own time and workload effectively during busy periods.
• Able to build strong and professional working relationships
• Resilient, with creativity and drive to achieve results.
• Knowledge of the fundraising standards and legal requirements in relation to trusts and grants funding
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work occasional unsocial hours, including for events.

Desirable Requirements:

• Previous line management experience as you will be line managing a small team
• Experience of working with supporter databases.
• Experience of identifying new prospects and developing relationships to secure income
