HEAD HOUSEKEEPER NEEDED!

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Staff Management

To manage staff in accordance with the values and Policies of West London YMCA:

• By interviewing and recruiting appropriately skilled and motivated staff. Ensuring staff are fully inducted to their roles.
• By authorising time sheets, annual leave, and other leave, using the payroll system.
• By line managing the cleaning staff, with regard to work performance, appraisal and training needs. setting targets, monitoring performance, supporting staff so that they maximise their potential and encouraging staff personal development. An element of personal staff coaching, hands on training and guidance may be required. Ensuring that regular team meetings are held.

Communication

• By liaising with reception regarding departures, arrivals.
• By communicating to cleaners the daily tasks required.
• By keeping the Housing Manager informed of any housekeeping issues.
• By attending relevant training, meetings and conferences as appropriate.

Housekeeping

• By checking on a daily basis the cleaning of the South Ealing Hostel.
• By helping with the cleaning as and when required.
• By helping in the laundry as required.
• By being responsible for the replenishment of supplies to First Aid boxes.
• By being responsible for televisions.
• By being responsible for Linen and Housekeeping supplies.
• By reporting maintenance and redecoration as required.
• By being responsible for the safe keeping of Housekeeping keys.
• By ensuring the residential, office, communal and public areas of the buildings are thoroughly cleaned.
