HR Policy Specialist - Leading Membership Body - London, with hybrid working

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced HR Policy Specialist to join an influential membership body.

You will be responsible for leading the management and oversight of the organisation's HR community, made up of senior HR leaders and experts from across the sector.

The interests of this community are focussed on the impact of employment and skills legislation and regulation on the sector and on the wider people agenda.

Your key accountabilities will include:-

  • Leading the organisation's Diversity and Inclusion Programme and supporting the wider industry to challenge their culture and biases holistically and embed D&I into every aspect of their business
  • Taking responsibility for all areas of the development and delivery of the organisation's HR policy with members
  • Working closely with the Corporate Affairs and Membership team to identify opportunities to raise political and public awareness of sector HR priorities
  • Work closely with Members and the Insight team to design, circulate and complete relevant evidence gathering, including their annual D&I Survey and Workforce Survey.
  • Representing the organisation's interests with public and private stakeholders, particularly with government and other related bodies on policy with implications for the sector.


You should be an experienced HR professional with a strong HR employment policy skill set including a thorough knowledge of flexible working, and equality, diversity and inclusion. Ideally you will also have experience of working with government and other related bodies/influential leaders. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
