Morgan Hunt are working with The Advocacy Project who are on the search for an Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA).
Working with people who are considered vulnerable or excluded, The Advocacy Project has provided expert advocacy for more than 20 years.
Supporting people to speak up, The Advocacy Project helps those voice their concerns, understand their rights and help make effective choices about what happens in their lives.
As an IMHA, you will provide advocacy for people eligible under the Mental Health Act 2007, Health and Social Care Act 2012, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Care Act 2014.
Advocacy is a really fantastic sector for someone with at least two years experience in the mental health field. You should have a good understanding of the role and responsibilities of advocacy and have the ability to listen and build trust.
