Job Title: Consultant in Palliative Medicine or Associate Speciality Doctor/ Specialist Doctor

Based: Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and St Peter's Hospital

Number of sessions: Full time or Part time

Salary: As per NHS Consultant scale

About us

Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and Wellbeing Care is a patient-centred Charity that delivers specialist palliative and end of life care to individuals with advanced life limiting conditions and provides support to their families. The Hospice provides inpatient and wellbeing services and delivers care in the Community for around 2,000 individuals across North West Surrey.

About the role

We have a unique working relationship with St Peter's Hospital that allows for a more integrated and collaborative approach in providing continuity of care to our patients with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. The vision is to extend this collaborative working with other local hospices serving patients within North West Surrey and the successful candidate will play a key role in this development.

We look for a Consultant in Palliative Medicine or Associate Speciality Doctor/ Specialist Doctor to join the team who will play a key role in the multi-disciplinary specialist palliative care team providing clinical support to patients in the Community and, to a lesser extent, to the Inpatient Unit and Wellbeing Centre.

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative individual with great leadership skills.

You will have a medical qualification (e.g. MBBS/MRCP (UK) or other recognised post graduate qualification for specialist training in Palliative Medicine and be eligible for entry onto the Specialist Register. Equally important is a passion to work collaboratively across teams and disciplines to widen access and to deliver the highest possible standards of patient care.
