Head of In-Patient Unit Services
Salary: NHS Band 8a or 8b (£48,970 - £65,706)
Location: Esher, Surrey
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (there may be some flexibility for the right candidate)
This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected organisation with an Outstanding CQC rating which delivers excellence in palliative care.
We are looking for an exceptional senior clinical leader to become the new Head of In-Patient Unit Services. You will have excellent leadership skills with a strong clinical background, and ideally with experience of working in a ward setting. You will be passionate, and values driven with a natural intuition to provide true patient-centered care.
This role would suit individuals who have been working as a Senior Nurse, Modern Matron, Ward Manager, Clinical Lead Nurse/Clinical Nurse Manager, or a Nurse Specialist who looks to move into a single site role. Prior experience in palliative care is desirable but not essential.
About the role
You will ensure safe staffing is maintained with an effective workforce model in place. The role has key responsibilities in relation to governance across the unit and will work closely with colleagues in quality to ensure safe effective systems are in place to monitor and report on governance issues, including a focus on learning.
As Head of In-Patient Unit Services, you will be required demonstrate strong leadership abilities to proactively deliver the clinical services and wider organisational strategic objectives. You will also be responsible for the implementation of new service developments and initiatives. You will liaise closely with a range of both internal and external stakeholders.
