Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a prestigious further educational college in South London to help employ an experienced Construction & Engineering professionals for their part-time Construction & Built Environment lecturer role. The roles are open to professionals with teaching experience but also those wishing to get into education to help develop and nurture the next generation of construction & engineering professionals professionals.
The Construction & Built Environment lecturer will be responsible for:
- Liaising with the other members of the department and Curriculum Manager to facilitate efficient delivery of the curriculum
- Assess and review the progress of advanced and higher level apprentices enrolled on Civil Engineering and/or Building Services Engineering standards. This aspect of the role involves preparing apprentices for their end-point assessments.
- To monitor, evaluate and improve the quality and effectiveness of learning programmes, sessions and own practice
The Construction & Built Environment lecturer will need to have:
- Teaching qualification - PTLLS or DTLLS or Cert Ed
- Ideally have recent experience of delivering theory on level 3 and/or level 4 HNC courses and be responsible for assessing a caseload of apprentices who are enrolled on these courses
- Ideally have worked in a lecturer or technician role
- The ability to liaise with staff and people at all levels (internal and external)
- Flexibility and responsiveness to working hours, patterns and arrangements
