Morgan Hunt are delighted to be working with an FE College in London, offering a fantastic opportunity to become their new Head of Construction and Engineering.

Reporting to the Director of STEM you will help drive forward continuous improvement and take a lead in strategic direction of Construction and Engineering, maximising student participation, you will ensure all students within the School receives a consistently outstanding experience leading to improved success rates.

You will possess a keen eye for new curriculum innovation and growth and will exploit opportunities to earn income from a variety of sources, including provision on a commercial basis.

Key Responsibilities of the Head of Construction and Engineering:
* Plan, lead and have curriculum development responsibility for the curriculum areas
* Responsibility for the overall curriculum management of the team, leading the development of people and teams
* Oversee the operational management and leadership of learner recruitment, the total learner experience, successful achievement of outcomes and progression of learners
* Develop excellence in teaching, learning and assessments through high performing teams
* Promote a culture of quality improvement embedding quality assurance systems consistent with college quality standards
* Lead and manage the development of the curriculum and its resources to ensure it keeps abreast of industry needs and requirements
* Work collaboratively with the college business service areas to provide a high-quality learner experience
* Drive a 'business approach' across the campus that identifies opportunities for new curriculum innovation and growth
* Oversee the Study Programme to ensure that it is fit for purpose and complies with the New Common Inspection Framework
* This post carries a teaching commitment agreed with the college

The ideal Head of Head of Construction and Engineering will have:
* Relevant Teaching Qualification
* Significant leadership within a Construction and/or Engineering department in the education and training sector
* Experience of managing complex budgets
* A business-like and customer focused approach to education and training
* Proven success of developing relationships with employers
* Understanding of Education and Training in London
* Proven Staff development and change management skills
* Experience of liaising with awarding bodies
* Experience delivering high quality teaching and learning activities
* Demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding and prevent and equality of opportunity

Salary: £60,000 - £62,000
