Job Title: History Lecturer

Payrate: £28 - £32 p/h

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all teaching is well-planned, in line with the school's Teaching and Learning policy
• Ensure that all teaching is sufficiently differentiated to provide an appropriate level of challenge for all learners
• Ensure that all students know how their learning is progressig and what they need to do to achieve challenging targets
• Ensure effective home learning takes place
• Maintain high standards of student behaviour, ensuring all children feel safe
• Where appropriate, use ICT devices and systems creatively to enhance and extend children's learning experience within and beyond lessons

Skills & experience

• Appropriate degree, with UK PGCE, or other teaching qualification giving QTS
• Degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification
• Familiarity with the national curriculum of England (Plus IGCSE/GCSE and/or A Levels as appropriate)
• Passion for teaching and commitment to educating a child
• A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children
• Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background
• A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check (for applicants who have never worked in UK) and no question regarding suitability to work with children
