Contract: Permanent

We are looking for a highly driven specialist who is confident in many of the following areas:

  • Computer Science
  • Cyber Security
  • Digital Skills
  • Graphics & Animation
  • Games Design & Development
  • Networking, Programming
  • Project Development & HCI
  • Software and Apps Development
  • Web Development digital technology and media - including data types, analysis interfaces and programming is a must.

This role would suit someone who is perhaps industry based or has had recent industry experience and wants to develop the next generation.

The successful candidate will be able to teach a range of designated study programmes and/or courses from Level 1 up to Level 5 (T Levels, Higher national technical etc.) and will be able to motivate students to achieve and succeed in their programmes of study.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, creative, and able to plan and teach engaging and innovative lessons with demonstrated interpersonal skills. Assessing and tracking student progress, to further plan intervention as this will be a vital part of the role and ensuring all students develop the skills they need to succeed.

An eagerness to work as part of a collaborative department, drive change, constructively challenge, participate in cross-curriculum activities and liaise with colleagues from other departments across the College are essential parts of this role.

The post holder must have relevant qualifications at degree level or equivalent. Experience and qualifications in teaching and learning would be advantageous, although industry experience coupled with the ambition of becoming an outstanding tutor will be considered.

Skills & experience:

  • Right to Work & Enhanced Adult/Child DBS dated within the last 3 months or on the update service.
  • Teaching Qualifications such as PGCE, DTLLS, PTLLS, QTLS, QTS
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computing, ICT
  • Excellent interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong multitasking skills.​
