Key responsibilities

In this Public Services Lecturer job, your responsibilities will include:

• Plan and deliver teaching, learning and assessment to a good standard on curriculum programmes appropriate to qualifications, experience, and expertise.
• Providing tutorial support, including assisting with the provision of educational advice and guidance to students, including that provided through individual learning plans.
• Production of lesson plans and schemes of work as required.
• Preparation of high-quality learning materials and student assignments.
• Devising and delivering high quality programmes of learning and evaluating their effectiveness.
• Tracking student progress.
• Completing formative and summative assessments of students' learning, including the marking to a high standard of student work and, where appropriate, examinations.

Skills & experience

• Degree in a related discipline a post-graduate teaching degree
• Knowledge of the further education curriculum
• To be able to plan and deliver quality teaching across identified modules.
• Relevant up to date subject knowledge and recent delivery in the further education or school sector.
• Right to Work & Enhanced Adult/Child DBS dated within the last 3 months or on the update service
