Job Title: System and BI developer

Location: East London

Length of contract: Permanent

Payrate: £50,000

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
• Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools)
• Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g. MicroStrategy)
• Maintain files, records and information, and provide statistical reports and other administration services as required, utilising reports in ProSolution
• Provide mentoring and training to others members of the team.
• To co-ordinate and provide formal training sessions to Curriculum Teams on learner eligibility and compliance, documentation and audit requirements, timetables and registers.
• To review annually the College's enrolment forms, in relation to funding and government data requirements.
• To provide an effective and efficient service to College Staff, in the provision and maintenance of Registers, Rooming and Timetables whilst ensuring compliance with appropriate funding and audit requirements.
• To be responsible for training and supervising the work of Timetables and Registers support staff.
• To provide a service within the College co-ordinating new and special projects within MIS on an ongoing basis and to co-ordinate the student records data in relation to College internal and external audits.
• Providing technical support to staff and students with any trouble relating to prosolution and any other operating software package currently in the college.

Skills & experience

• Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist Industry experience is preferred
• Experience of working with ProSolution is a must
• Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check (for applicants who have never worked in UK) and no question regarding suitability to work with children
• Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
