Head of HR - Education - London

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior HR professional to join an award winning College.

Reporting in the Director of Finance and Resources you will be responsible for developing and implementing the HR strategy and for leading the HR function. Your key accountabilities will include:-

• Working closely with the leadership team to help build organisational and people capabilities

• Coaching and supporting managers on all HR issues, ensuring HR best practice is applied

• Managing employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances and redundancies

• Taking the lead on recruitment and selection as well as succession planning

• Monitoring and reviewing HR policies and processes

• Leading on learning and development initiatives including leadership development

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with Trade Unions

You should be a senior HR professional with a track record of developing and implementing an HR strategy ideally in the education sector. Experience of managing complex employee relations issues needs to be combined with excellent stakeholder management skills. It is essential that you have a experience of working effectively with Trade Unions and of managing recruitment campaigns. Ideally you will be CIPD qualified.
