Are you a Trainee Accountant or Audit Assistant looking for a new opportunity to progress your career within an ambitious Accountancy firm that has seen exceptional growth over the past year? My client are looking to grow the headcount due to growth in the department and client base. They are looking to recruit a Junior Accountant / Accounts and Audit Junior in their Central London office with excellent transport links from London and the Home Counties, by rail or your own transport.

The firm is well known for its dynamic, modern approach and progression opportunities as they have grown exponentially over the last couple of years.

The Trainee Accountant will be offered a training contract and will report directly to Managers. You will be responsible for preparing Financial Accounts and Tax returns, alongside assisting on Audits on client site.

The client sectors covered is varied, with captivating clients in Tech, Manufacturing, Investments, Media, Entertainment and Not For Profit among others.

The duties of the Accounts and Audit Junior will include:

  • Preparing Accounts under FRS 102/FRS 105
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of audits.
  • Corporation Tax Returns, including tagging of iXBRL accounts and submission to HMRC
  • Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns
  • Preparing and submitting VAT Returns and EC Sales Lists on an ad-hoc basis
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders including HMRC, financial organisations and Owners

The successful candidate will:

  • Working towards ACCA or AAT
  • Experienced within a UK Practice Firm
  • Experienced in preparing Financial Statements and assisting on Audit assignments
  • Client focus and commercial awareness
