Repairs Surveyor - Social Housing

Location: Haringey

Full time Permanent - £35-38K depending on experience

Summary

My client is a leading provider of Social Housing in Haringey, looking to recruit a talented Repairs Surveyor to work as part of the Property Services team.

You will be responsible for a highly efficient responsive repairs service which sees inbound repair works specified, managed and resolved in a timely and customer friendly manner.

Main Duties

  • Undertake regular estate inspections of communal areas
  • Assess the condition of properties, identifying and diagnosing building defects, whilst preparing schedule of rates and specifications, supervising works through to successful completion.
  • Provide specialist knowledge to resolve complex building issues
  • Oversee sub-contractors when required to undertake the repair works
  • Oversee and manage minor planned works programmes

The ideal candidate;

  • Part 1 RICS/CIOB or equivalent in a relevant course, or qualified by extensive experience
  • Knowledge of Building Contracts Administration and strong Project Management skills
  • Excellent Building pathology knowledge with demonstrable experience of diagnosing complex building defects
  • Understanding of H&S legislation
  • Full driving license and access to own vehicle for work purposes
