Non-Executive Director/ Chair of the Risk & Compliance Committee
Remuneration: £9,500 per annum
Location: Bracknell, Berkshire
Silva Homes in an independent, not-for-profit housing association which manages over 6,500 rented properties, 1,000 shared ownership properties and 2,500 garages across Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire. We are financially strong with a turnover of £50.4m and an operating margin of 32.5%. Our development pipeline is to provide a further 1,100 over the next 5 years including land acquisition for our own developments. Our G1/V1 regulatory rating has been re-approved and we have recently completed an external governance review and launched our new 5-year strategy.

About the role
It is an exciting time for the organisation as we look to strengthen our board. We have created a new risk and compliance committee and look for an experienced non-executive to take the office of chair. Core skills will be required in risk management and/or legal and regulatory compliance with a good understanding of health and safety.
Experience in housing is desirable, however we would also welcome applications from senior leaders who have worked in other regulated environments such as pharmaceuticals, finance or health and safety.
