Non-Executive Director/ finance specialism
Remuneration: £7,500 per annum
Location: Bracknell, Berkshire

About us
Silva Homes in an independent, not-for-profit housing association which manages over 6,500 rented properties, 1,000 shared ownership properties and 2,500 garages across Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire. We are financially strong with a turnover of £50.4m and an operating margin of 32.5%. Our development pipeline is to provide a further 1,100 over the next 5 years including land acquisition for our own developments. Our G1/V1 regulatory rating has been re-approved and we have recently completed an external governance review and launched our new 5-year strategy.

About the role
We look for a qualified finance professional to reinforce the knowledge and capacity of our board. You will have experience of working in the social or private housing sector, ideally with experience of joint ventures or commercial subsidiaries. You will have strong commercial and business acumen and work strategically with the board and leadership team.

You will serve as an audit committee member and as a director on our subsidiary company Forest Future Homes. This would suit an experienced non-executive or someone looking to take on their first board appointment.
