Legal Officer

Duration - Fixed Term Contract until September 2023 - there is a good chance this will also be extended there after

Pay - £29,030pa

Office - Moorgate area

Hybrid - at least 2 days a week in the office

Morgan Hunt are currently working with a well established regulatory body who are on the lookout for a Legal Officer. The role is a Fixed Term Contract until September 2023 with a view to be extended. The role would be working in the office at least two days a week.

Duties

  • To support the Legal & Governance Team, including processing invoices, filing and copying documents, note taking, general office support etc.
  • To support the Board Secretary, including providing administrative support for Board and Committee meetings, as well as governance work more generally, such as collating and distributing documents, liaising with report authors, and minuting meetings.
  • To be a 'superuser' / administrator for the legal case management system which will involve maintaining the system, making changes to it, assisting lawyers with its use and extracting reports.
  • To support the Legal & Governance Team with tasks relating to the efficient running of the team, such as maintaining the legal library and providing management information
  • To assist the General Counsel, Board Secretary, and Senior Lawyers in the development and maintenance of quality management processes.
  • To provide assistance and support to lawyers including proof reading, legal research and litigation support

Regulatory

  • Experience in an administrative support role
  • Experience of using a variety of IT packages, such as a case management system
  • Experience of working with and developing office systems
  • Experience of legal work / working in a legal office
