Summary

Morgan Hunt are working with a leading social housing provider, currently looking for a Disrepair Surveyor to join their team.

You will be responsible for providing specialist professional repair and maintenance expertise and guidance around complex matters and disrepair cases. It is essential to provide fantastic customer service to both tenants and leaseholders who are going through the disrepair process, ensuring properties are maintained or returned to the standard and quality set by the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Day to day supervision of maintenance contractors, this includes taking action under the contract when necessary.
• Use specialist expertise and knowledge to provide a building pathology assessment of defects, with the outcome of rectifying faults and reducing the organisations liability to disrepair claims.
• Ensure maintenance contractors are compliant with the organisations requirements.
• Evaluate the efficiency of contractors and recommend any beneficial changes/adaptations as required.
• Produce management data on the status of all disrepair cases and ensure records are kept up to date and accurate.
• Ensure consultation requirements are met for leaseholders, party wall matters and with residents.

About you

• Surveying experience within social housing.
• Strong building pathology knowledge
• Proven track record of identifying defects.
• Experience monitoring contractors performance.
• Substantial experience managing disrepair claims.
