Job description
Morgan Hunt is working with a regulatory body based in East London, looking for a temporary Senior Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Manager to step in for 8 weeks. The role is offered on Hybrid basis with one day a week in the office and the day rate for this is £268 holiday (£300 a day) PAYE.
Key responsibilities of the temporary Senior Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Manager:
- Lead the development of stakeholder strategies for key policy including the overarching policy objective to reach Net Zero by 2035
- Own stakeholder engagement plans that closely align with stakeholder strategies.
- Own the processes to map out and set strategic approaches to critical stakeholder relations.
- Own and continually iterate a strategic view of the stakeholder landscape in these directorates.
- Help to shape engagement plans for Directors and thought leaders in these directorates.
- Empower and support policy teams to run effective stakeholder engagement activities
- Enable insights from stakeholder engagement interactions and strategic mapping to be proactively shared to relevant teams
- Resolve and brief senior leaders on emerging issues associated with stakeholder engagement.
- Build close relationships with central communications teams in order to align with central strategy eg strategic communications moments.
Key Stakeholder Relationships of the Senior Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Manager
Internal
- The other teams within the Policy Coordination and Prioritisation Portfolio, ie Business Operations & Planning and Strategic Change.
- Policy team and other directorates within the organisation
- Teams within central communications and other embedded stakeholder engagement professionals.
External
- All stakeholders for all directorates including Government departments, devolved administrations, regional authorities, regulated companies eg network companies and system operator, innovators, generators, shippers, trade bodies, consumer bodies and charities, investor community, etc
