Deputy Manager Haringey

Job description

Our client, a leading charity supporting the homeless in London, are looking to recruit a Deputy Manager for a service supporting homeless clients with complex needs in North London. As a leading support provider in the charity sector, our client is in need of an experienced manager to lead a support team of staff prior to the services closure in June, and maintain a high standard of staff motivation and support delivery to the clients engaged in the service.

Candidate duties:

• Line managing a staff team of 2-3 Support Workers in a service delivering support to ex rough sleepers with complex support needs
• Conducting staff supervisions, appraisals and performance management
• Working with the service manager to deliver the support required to clients both operationally and day to day before the services closure
• Liaising with external stakeholders and promoting the service across the borough

Candidate needs:

• 2 years experience in line managing staff ideally in homelessness or domestic abuse services
• Experience of staff performance management
• Experience of resettlement and ideally decanting services
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of building links and relationships with external support providers and local authority housing services
