UX Designer

London - Canary Wharf

Hybrid working

3 Months Contract

£650 - £700 Per Day

The client:

My client are a leading Central Government organisation who are looking for a UX Designer to join the team, you will collaborate closely with a small in-house product team as well as agency developers and specialists to produce the best possible outcomes.

Your role:

• Work on a core platform redesign and support from initial design and scoping to delivery.
• Design user-centred interfaces and transaction flows
• Create and iterate prototypes to test and communicate ideas
• Work with user researchers, content designers and front-end developers to turn concepts into user-centred services
• Contribute to cross government interaction design patterns and standards

What you need to be successful:

• 3 years designing product experiences
• Deep understanding of best practice UX approaches and how to apply them
• Previous experience of designing digital government services using GDS design patterns
• Experience of government service assessments
• Strong digital understanding across mobile, tablet and desktop design
• Understand the technical capabilities of HTML5, JS, CSS3
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience with a wide range of design and prototyping software, including the GOV Prototype Kit
• Ability to synthesise quantitative and quality research into product experiences
