Morgan Hunt is working with the largest research University in London in search of an interim Events and Communications Officer

Role: Events and Communications Officer

Organisation: Higher Education

Length of Contract: 3 months.

Pay: £20.94 holiday pay per hour ( £23.47 per hour)

Hours: 36.5 hour a week

Location: Hybrid working, offices based in Central London

Key responsibilities of the interim Events and Communications Officer

• Develop and implement departmental strategy for internal and external communications, increasing attendance at events, increasing media coverage and creating strategic partnerships with external organisations, stakeholders and media;

• Be responsible for the day-to-day operation, development and maintenance of the Department's website and its content, to ensure that it is kept up-to-date and consistent design standards are maintained.

• Curate and develop content in line with brand guidelines that can be deployed across a variety of channels, including digital advertising, emails, webpages and social media channels

• Manage and coordinate all events (internal and external) for the Department, including conferences, workshops, and other departmental events for staff, students or the public;

• Manage the recording of all events, as appropriate, and the platforms to which they are shared (Simplecast, Soundcloud, YouTube)

• Line manage the Reception Administrator and review the administrator's duties.

Previous experience of the interim Events and Communications Officer

• Experience working in education, preferably higher education, within the Marketing, Communications and Events function
• Copy writing, proof reading and editing skills. Great understanding of social media and other digital channels
• Experience managing events for internal and external audiences. Budget management.
• Previous experience line managing is a benefit.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• This role offers an immediate start with hybrid working structure from offices in Central London.
