Job description

Morgan hunt is working with a National Charity to find a Senior Public Sector Development Manager. This is an exciting position for a experienced fundraiser to become part of a growing Statutory Team, securing significant income from national, devolved and local government, research grant-makers and commercial tenders. This hybrid Permanent role office is based in central London and salary is £31,266 - £35,529 (plus London Allowance of £3,366, or Home working Allowance of £500).

Key Responsibilities of the new Senior Public Sector Development Manager:

  • To maximise income by engaging, managing and inspiring statutory donors, research funders and organisations procuring tenders, both directly and via senior volunteers and staff.
  • To build highly productive relationships with influential people, both internal and external, and negotiate effectively to achieve positive outcomes that support fundraising activities.
  • To develop high-quality, clear and compelling materials, pitches and reports, and complete re-search to source information for these materials.
  • To lead on delivery of substantial projects supporting the Statutory Team's annual business plan and budget.
  • To be responsible for the receipt of income from statutory funders, including the processing of grant contracts, claim forms, budgets and other funding-associated requirements.
  • To develop and deliver tailored solicitations, stewardship plans and network maps, proactively building long-term relationships with donors.
  • To build the income pipeline by identifying and capitalising on funding opportunities.

Previous Skills and Experience of the new Senior Public Sector Development Manager:

  • A track record in building relationships with funders and successfully bidding for six and/or seven-figure donations
  • The ability to produce compelling written material of the highest quality
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills (with both colleagues and funders)
  • Experience of demonstrating strategic thinking, initiative and creativity to lead projects and achieve successful outcomes

The role is due to commence mid April and interviews take place on the week commencing 3rd of April.
