Morgan Hunt are recruiting for an Hospital Porters to work with an NHS in South East London on a Temp basis. The details of the job are below:

Hospital Porters

Hours: Full-time Shifts 37.5 8am to 4pm/ 9am to 5pm/ 10am to 6pm Mon to Fri

Pay Rate: £10.00 per hour Plus Holiday Allowance: £1.20 per hour = £11.20 per hour PAYE - Weekdays

Location: South East London

Duration: 3 months on going contract - Full Training Provided

JOB PURPOSE

To work as part of the portering team to assist the Portering Team Leader in providing an efficient and high quality portering service to all areas within the portering department. To project a positive image of the department and Trust to patients, staff and visitors. To communicate effectively with all staff to ensure that any problems are dealt with effectively.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical & professional

1. To transfer patients to and from departments as required by the appropriate method, including bed, chair, or trolley.
2. To participate in moving and handling of patients, including using hoists and lateral transfers.
3. To notify the Chargehand Porter or deputy on anything they consider to be of a poor standard.
4. Provide the appropriate care for patients, ensuring that their visit to the Department is both safe and as pleasant as possible.
5. To ensure that all appropriate documentation is complete and accurate and adheres to the General Data Protection Regulations. This includes computer data entry if appropriate.
6. To project a pleasant, helpful and efficient image to all the Directorate's users.
7. To ensure that patient movement equipment is cleaned regularly and as and when required in line with infection control policy.
