Morgan Hunt currently require a Senior Workforce Analyst - Covid Reporting for NHS based in Uxbridge

Pay Rate: £20.57ph PAYE WTR £2.48 Total: £23.05ph

Hours: 37.5 hrs - Flexible between 07:00am to 5pm Mon to Fri

Location: Uxbridge

Duration 3 months on going contract


To be responsible for maintaining data quality on ESR system. To apply specialist ESR Business Intelligence report writing and analytical knowledge and skills to support the extraction of data from ESR and other workforce systems. To work with colleagues within the HR function to ensure that ESR is used in an efficient and effective manner, to best fit the business needs of the Trust.


  1. To preserve the integrity of the ESR database, by running regular reports, undertaking regular data validation exercises and by liaison with budget holders, service heads and Management Accounts.

  1. To develop and maintain the data quality audit reports using ESR Business Intelligence and other workforce systems.

  1. To maintain working relationships with Finance colleagues to ensure processes can be streamlined and improved where appropriate.

  1. To ensure that ESR accurately reflects the Trust's funded establishment through post control, department structure and Trust hierarchy.

  1. To liaise with other stakeholders to ensure an appropriate workforce structure is replicated on the relevant systems related to ESR.

  1. To design, write, edit and run reports within ESR using Business Intelligence tool to meet the business needs.

  1. To assist and enable other users and HR staff in relation to running reports, provide training and advice on ESR report writing and editing.

  1. To analyse large data sets and present in a meaningful format relevant for the audience.

  1. To be the Trust's main point of contact with IBM in relation to Service Requests, reporting issues, developments and business justification forms (BJFs).

  1. To appropriately distribute ESR information provided by IBM and to actively participate for the Trust at ESR both external and internal events, workshops and meetings.

  1. To control access to ESR, including the set-up and monitoring of employee log-ins and URPs.

  1. To update and maintain ESR positions, starters and leavers on the Trust intranet on daily basis.

  1. To ensure that the Trust is represented on the regional user group and special interest groups.

  1. To work with the Workforce Planning and Planning Manager to ensure the smooth running and development of ESR, ensuring that the use of ESR is maximised to meet the Trust's business needs.

  1. To assist the Workforce Planning and Planning Manager in the planning, implementation, roll-out and support of ESR functionalities (e.g. Manager Self-service, BI etc.).
  2. To assist with the maintenance of the Employee Self-service and the help desk queries.

  1. To support the Trust's Workforce Information and Planning Manager in the provision of all Trust workforce reports and external returns. To assist in the workforce planning process.

  1. To ensure that the Information Governance policy and Data Protection Act are strictly followed when managing sensitive information.

  1. To ensure that accurate and up-to-date records, both electronic and paper, are maintained.

  1. Any other duties as may be required.
