As a Stalking Helpline Advisor, you will be standing up against injustice, driving systemic change, and ensuring that decision makers are held accountable. Your primary responsibility will be providing expert advice to victims of stalking. Through telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions, you will offer guidance, information, and support to those affected by stalking. You will collaborate with voluntary and statutory services to ensure positive outcomes for the victims, helping them regain control of their situations.
In addition, you will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding our dedicated team of volunteers when needed. Working alongside the Stalking Support Team Leader and Helpline Manager, you will be a vital part of our efforts to provide exceptional support to our beneficiaries.
To excel in this role, we require candidates with essential experience and skills. You should have a considerable background in working with individuals affected by crime or vulnerability. Managing your own time, prioritising tasks, and handling a case load should be second nature to you. You should also be comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Your expertise in risk assessment and safety planning will be invaluable. A comprehensive understanding of risk assessment, risk management, and safety planning in cases of stalking and other forms of gender-based violence is essential. Moreover, you should possess a solid working knowledge of the practical, emotional, social, and economic challenges faced by individuals affected by stalking and other forms of gender-based violence.
Knowledge of safeguarding principles, both for adults and children, is crucial in this role, ensuring the utmost care and protection for our beneficiaries.
