Job description

Are you a Senior Data Analyst looking for a flexible role, at a leading charity, to help to transform the way this leading charity uses their data to make decisions?

This is a prominent role in understanding the charity's supporters and service users and improving their experience.

You will work with stakeholders to understand their priorities and business needs and provide insightful analytics and reporting to facilitate evidence-based decision-making. You will also support stakeholders by providing ad-hoc analysis and reporting and challenging with new approaches.

Ensure outputs are accurate, timely and meet the organisation's need. You will be communicating findings to the wider charity and working closely with their data engineers to ensure accurate and timely data.

Up to between £38,000- £39,000 per annum (Includes LWA ) (Benefits package includes over 29 days a/l and 7% employer pension contribution )


Very Flexible, Hybrid working.

As a Senior Data Analyst, part of your responsibilities includes -

  • Analytics and reporting - working with stakeholders to gather requirements that delivers analysis and reports that answer the 'So What'.
  • Deliver simple and complex reporting, metrics/KPI's and performance insights.
  • Build, implement and continually improve analytics and predictive models using coding language such as SQL, R or Python.
  • Manage your own complex projects, owning the process from start to end.
  • Look at data critically and creatively.
  • Data management- proactively working with their data engineers to help ensure databases, data structures and reporting systems meet their needs.
  • Efficiently analyse large amounts of data.

What you need to be a successful Senior Data Analyst:

  • Strong Power BI or Tableau experience to create reports.
  • Sound knowledge of data analysis techniques and statistics with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience of developing code (for example, using SQL, Excel, R, or Python for analytical purposes).
  • Highly developed ability to analyse and interpret data (make sense of the data).
  • Good eye for detail.
  • Experience working with other stakeholders.
  • Be a personable data person - possess good communication skills to understand, interpret and present complex information in a clear way to a range of audiences.
