TIS Service Desk Analyst
North London - onsite
Hourly rate contract

Offering £15 - £20 Per Hour

Initial 1 month contract with possible extension

Client -
My client is a leading Further Education organisation who are looking for a TIS Service Desk Analyst to join their service desk team and provide 1st line support to all users and staff.

Your role:

  • To ensure that Learner and Staff requests are dealt with quickly and effectively, whilst maintaining the high level of service that our customers depend upon.
  • Providing efficient 1st line support to all staff and users.
  • To be the first point of call for call logging and do so in a prompt and polite manner.
  • To take responsibility for the calls generated and for the accuracy of the call logging system, recognising trends or potential incidents for escalation.
  • To resolve calls, where possible, in a manner that doesn't affect the above.
  • Ensure that calls are prioritised and dealt with effectively by monitoring response times and escalating where necessary.
  • To seek support from service/infrastructure engineers and IT Management for calls that pass their due dates, or where more experience is required in resolving a call.
  • To escalate major incidents to IT management quickly and clearly, obtaining as much detail about the incident as possible, including number of users affected and scale of impact on students, staff or sites.

A Successful candidate will have-

  • Active Directory administration.
  • Trouble shooting experience
  • Previous experience as an IT service desk analyst
  • Basic software and hardware troubleshooting skills.
  • Using and supporting Microsoft Operating systems.
  • Using and supporting Microsoft Office Suite, including Office 365
  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
  • Organised
  • Team player & Co-operative
  • Customer focused
  • The ability to plan and monitor one's own workload, to ensure that deadlines are met
  • Flexible approach
  • Industry qualification or equivalent level of knowledge of Microsoft software and systems through experience and training / development.
