Morgan Hunt have partnered with a Law firm with an international presence, who boasts approx 2500 members across 45 offices worldwide. With main hubs in London & Essex within the UK, the law firm specialises within numerous industries such as Energy, Infrastructure, Medicine, Financial Services, Risk and Aviation.

The Legal Biller will be part of the Finance team based in Essex which is well known for their fast paced, dynamic & diverse culture. The Legal Biller will have an important role to play with day to day involvement in the full billing cycle. With support from a Billing Manager and two experienced Assistant Billing Managers this is a position that will offer someone the opportunity to develop and progress within a very inclusive environment.

The successful Legal Biller's Responsibilities will include:

  • Making sure both fee earners and time recording policies are fully compliant with each other.
  • Dealing with disbursements making sure accurate defence costs MI.
  • Checking charge rates and maintaining matter budgets.
  • Ensuring compliance with client service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Liaise with the Financial Operation Database team to ensure the account system contains up-to-date billing.
  • Resolving billing related issues ensuring consistent revenue cycle occurs.
  • Responding in a timely manner to all queries and requests, referring complex issues to the Assistant Manager.

The Ideal skills of the successful Legal Biller:

  • 12 months relevant Legal sector experience (billing).
  • Good knowledge and experience within VAT.
  • Capable of working with a wide range of individuals in a professional and affable manner.
  • Legal specific finance system knowledge to include Elite 3E, Elite Enterprise or Aderant (desirable not required)
