Works Administrator

Temporary - 3 months - possible to extend

£13- £16 per hour

Mix of home and Office working

Based in Haringey

I am currently looking for an Works Administrator to join a well know Housing Association based in Haringey. This role will be to provide administrative support services to the maintenance department. You will also be scheduling appointments for repairs work. You will need to provide high levels of customer Service to customer based in the Repairs division as well.

Duties

  • To take full responsibility for the efficient administration of the Opti -Time service.
  • To retrieve information from a computerised system to allow continual updates of performance.
  • To maintain accurate records and provide reports relating to all aspects of the work areas as required.
  • To ensure that the Operatives communicate in a timely and accurate manner about the progress of work, in order to schedule their work in view of resident's requirements.
  • To re-schedule jobs in the event of an unplanned absence of an Operative, and to contact the resident directly to agree any changes.
  • To communicate any changes / updates directly with the effected resident and the Operative.
  • To liaise with the Responsive Repairs Team about changes/issues.
  • To provide support to colleagues, customers and the business, in order to continuously improve operational effectiveness.
  • To manage and organise the work schedules of operatives to ensure that the operatives are fully engaged.

Requirements

  • Experience of working within a maintenance department
  • Knowledge of local authority and or social housing repairs operating environment
  • Experience and knowledge of dynamic scheduling and or system generated appointment scheduling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (e.g. - Tone of Voice/ Listening Skills / Empathy when dealing with internal and external customers)
  • Ability to plan, organise, prioritise and where required to re prioritise
  • Understanding of a customer focused service environment
