Head of Reward & Information - Higher Education - London with hybrid working

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Reward Specialist to join a well respected Higher Education organisation.

Reporting into the Deputy Director of HR Operations you will be responsible for leading the Reward and Information team and for providing a high quality reward service. Your key accountabilities will include:-

  • Managing annual pay and bonus modelling and processing
  • Ensure regular benchmarking and market related pay research is undertaken to ensure they are an employer of choice
  • Conducting gender and equality impact assessments of pay and reward policy
  • Taking responsibility for data management in relation to the annual pay review process
  • Managing and communicating the available benefit schemes
  • Being accountable for the integrity, quality and completeness of data held within the HR Information System
  • Having overall accountability for the accuracy and standard of all external facing reports including HESA returns
  • Conducting the annual information governance audit of HR Information


You need to be a Senior Reward Specialist with a track record of working in the Higher Education sector. Ideally you will also have also worked within the NHS and have some understanding of clinical pay scales. Experience of using, developing and optimising integrated HR/Payroll Systems needs to be combined with an ability to collate and manipulate data for the purposes of providing management information at all levels. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are essential.
