We have an exciting opportunity in our team for a qualified Building Surveyor to support our retail colleagues across more than 200 shops and stores throughout southern England.
As our Regional Building Surveyor, you'll deliver a full range of building surveying services including acquisition/disposal surveys, project management, defects analysis, building refurbishment and maintenance, management of contractors/consultants and preparation of contract/tender documentation.

Working arrangements
This is a home-based role with extensive travel throughout southern England including London with responsibility to deliver a full range of building surveying services including national contracts, or projects as required. Occasional overnight stays for team meetings elsewhere in the UK may also be required.

About you
You will possess a professional building / construction management qualification (MRICS, MCIOB) and have sound technical knowledge of all legislation relating to the fit out and occupation of leasehold retail premises (Building Regulations, Planning, CDM, Fire Safety Order, Health & Safety and Asbestos).
A highly effective team-player, you have strong interpersonal, influencing, and decision-making skills.
You will have extensive experience of all key aspects of traditional building surveying disciplines including acquisition surveys, defect analysis, building pathology, dilapidations, fit out design and contract administration, ideally with a focus on developing and maintaining a large retail estate.
