Job Type: Permanent

Location: London (hybrid 2 days a week)

Salary: £34,500 - £37,500

Job Description

I am working with a prestigious charity within the cancer healthcare sector who are looking for a Senior Policy Officer on a permanent basis. As a Senior Policy Officer, you will focus on improving treatment, care and services for those affected by secondary cancer.

As a Senior Policy Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring policy recommendations are backed by evidence-based policy positions. You will collaborate with colleagues across various teams to create and implement influencing strategies, whilst cultivating strong relationships with key external stakeholders. As a Senior Policy Officer, you will also act as a source of expertise across the organisation and externally on key policy areas and the wider policy environment.

Person Specification

  • Experienced working in relevant policy roles either within the cancer or healthcare sectors.
  • Adept at creating credible, evidence-based policy positions with an ability to think strategically.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with an ability to communicate with a diverse audience.
  • Able to develop relationships with key stakeholders with a good record of influencing progressive policy changes.
