Salary: £74, 900

Morgan Hunt are working with a prestigious membership organisation based in London. The said organisation are looking for a Head of Policy with a background in financial services. My client represent the interests of UK-based financial and related professional services.

As a Head of Policy, you will lead the policy response to regulatory developments within the UK and Europe. You will ensure the competitiveness of the UK based financial and related professional services industry, whilst expanding the scope and reach of the organisation. As a Head of Policy, you will be responsible for implementing a collaborative policy response to issues such as regulatory policy, sustainability, tax, innovation and immigration and other areas where necessary. The role also offers an opportunity to directly manage a small team of Policy Managers and Senior Policy Executives.

Main Responsibilities:

• To determine policy priorities as well as member and policymaker engagement, whilst creating the agenda and papers for key committees.
• Supporting colleagues to guarantee a consistent, comprehensive and up-to-date policy approach to key themes.
• Liaising with the Senior Management Group of the organisation to support business objectives.
• Engaging with the Head of Public Affairs to establish the delivery of stakeholder events-including seminars, conferences and policymaker roundtables; whilst working with other colleagues where necessary to stimulate stakeholder engagement.

Essential Criteria:

• Experience of directly managing a Policy Team.
• Understanding of and interest in financial markets and products, economics and public policy.
• Ability to prioritise tasks whilst maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Proven sphere of influence within senior decision makers.
• Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
