Building Safety Manager

£50,000 - 56,000 per annum
Summary
Morgan Hunt are working with a leading social housing provider, currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Building Safety Manager to join their team on a full time permanent basis.
You will be responsible for carrying out hazard assessments with the purpose of developing a safety case report for high rise buildings. You will also be required to review current fire precautionary measures as well as new works to help create a risk based improvement scheme for the organisations stock.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relations with both internal and external stakeholders, as well as liaise with operational teams to resolve risks of any severe or imminent danger, and prioritise actions arising from Building Safety inspections. Furthermore, have the ability to recognise which issues are most significant/urgent.
- Deal with all enquiries or complaints in relation to Building Safety and manage any actions which arise.
- To advise and support residents in resolving any queries or issues they may have.
- Quality assure the services provided by any consultants engaged to carry out the fire risk assessments, structural surveys or investigations.
- Work alongside the Development team, ensuring that Fire Strategies are appropriate to the different building and client types and that fire precautions are installed to the correct standard.
- Provide support and training to staff with responsibilities for the management of fire or structural safety.
About you
- NEBOSH Fire or equivalent.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Ability to work on a variety of complex tasks.
- String knowledge of building and housing services, with a good understanding of relevant legislation.
