Damp & Mould Specialist Surveyor

Job description

Due to the increased demand, Morgan Hunt are looking for a range of Building Surveyors for multiple clients, specialising in damp & mould and legal disrepair claims.

* BRAND NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR AN EXPERIENCED SURVEYOR TO SECURE A LONG TERM CONTRACT WITH AN EXCELLENT EMPLOYER *

Rate: £35-45/hour PAYE

Duration: 12-18 months interim contract

Location: Guildford, Hybrid role

Summary of position:

To survey, assess and monitor damp and mould conditions within a portfolio of residential housing properties. Typical work will include management and administration for any works required, provide repairs advice & guidance to internal & external stakeholders, and provide on-going educational services to tenants around damp & mould mitigation strategies.

You will plan a pivotal role assisting our client provide a good standard of housing to their tenants and be part of a diverse team and high performing team.

You will need:

• Full knowledge of typical building defects within a residential setting, with sound understanding and experience of dealing with damp and mould cases
• Either you will be extensively qualified by experience, or hold a recognised qualification (MCIOB, MRICS highly desired)
• Experienced at handling a busy workload, ability to prioritise tasks and work towards deadlines.
• Aware and conversant with building regulations and current legislative standards
• Experienced working on legal disrepair cases
• Car driver with access to own vehicle (mileage paid)
