Job description
Morgan Hunt are currently working with one of the UK's Ombudsman Bodies, in their search for a number of temporary Adjudicator to undertake detailed review and adjudicate on disputes and investigations, ensuring all cases are dealt with fairly and impartially.
The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing large volumes of complex information in order to identify key issues, gaps in evidence and inform clear and concise decisions. You will be reviewing 8 - 10 cases per day (ensuring decisions hold up to scrutiny and delivery against set targets)
The role would be perfect for someone with strong experience within Dispute Resolution, Adjudication and Investigation within the Regulation Sector. You will have proven experience of decision making and case/evidence review, complex analysis of information and the ability to scrutinise decisions objectively.
You will have strong communication skills, with the ability to write high-quality reports and deliver against set targets. You will ideally have an understanding of the Social Housing Sector, and strong knowledge of Housing Law.
This opportunity is a 6 month temporary to permanent arrangement, and will offer progression opportunities within the organisation.
Job Title: Adjudicator
Location: Fully Remote (London Office once every 2 months)
Hourly Rate: £25.00 - £28.00 PAYE
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent (6 months temporary)
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
Start Date: Early January 2023
Key Responsibilities
- Investigation of complaints - varying in complexity and difficulty
- Adjudicate on disputes, with ability to defend decisions when challenged
- Analyse information to identify key issues to make clear and confident decisions
- Articulation of decisions on jurisdiction/intervention/investigation
- Formulation of appropriate recommendations, while monitoring compliance
- Respond to relevant FOI and DPA requests
- Accurate and timely recording of case work
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and involvement with mentoring/training
Personal Specification
- Expert knowledge of Housing Law
- Experience within dispute resolution, adjudication and/or complaint handling
- Ability to deliver again set targets and KPIs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - active listening skills, ability to speak confidently and clearly
- Strong research and analysis skills - including large volumes of complex information
- Organised, proactive and collaborative individual
- Ability to manage difficult conversations and have effective conversations with a range of people
