As the Senior IDVA, you will play a pivotal role in initiating, developing, and maintaining multi-agency links to prioritise safety in all our services for victims of domestic abuse. You will be responsible for implementing and supporting the strategic direction of the service, taking a lead role in local domestic violence strategy partnerships.
Managing a team dedicated to keeping victims safe, you will provide one-to-one crisis intervention, information, guidance, advocacy, and support to women referred to our organisation due to experiencing domestic abuse and harmful practices.
Your responsibilities as the Senior IDVA include the day-to-day management of staff, ensuring effective service delivery to marginalised survivors through risk assessment, safety planning, referrals to other agencies, and participation in Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARACs). You will oversee the recruitment, selection, and retention process for all staff and positions within the organisation, conducting annual employee appraisals, performance reviews, and facilitating their professional development.
By conducting case reviews, providing case supervision, and offering line management, you will foster productive working relationships and ensure appropriate support is available to address individual needs. You will also contribute to maintaining probationary reviews, supervision, and debriefing in accordance with procedures.
In addition, you will be responsible for conducting regular reviews of our services, incorporating input, output, and outcome monitoring, funding streams, and stakeholder and service user feedback. This information will inform the setting and monitoring of targets and objectives, as well as the continuous development of services and responses to domestic abuse.
Promoting inclusivity, you will ensure that our service addresses the needs and concerns of a diverse range of survivors. Proactively working to provide accessible and non-discriminatory support to all eligible clients will be a key aspect of your role.
