Job description

Are you a PMO Lead, looking for a new exciting, flexible role, to make a difference for a leading non-departmental public body?

£33,880 - £44,980 per annum (Civil Service Pension Scheme)

Permanent.

Very Flexible, Hybrid working.

The purpose of the role is to support the varied and exciting projects / programmes within organisation's portfolio. The current portfolio includes a selection of projects and programmes such as a new people and culture programme, improvements to the organisation's existing IT estate…

You will be accountable for the successful operation of the PMO function within the relevant project / programme-

Your role, as a PMO Lead -

  • You will pro-actively support the programme and project managers to develop and update project plans
  • Lead all programme Governance and when required act as secretariat for key programme and project meetings
  • Maintain key project assets as directed by the Programme / Project Manager
  • Drive proactive RAIDD activity to ensure timely and effective mitigation action
  • Ensure that there are clear and agreed resource plans for the project portfolio, highlighting any potential issues with mitigating actions
  • Active tracking of Programme Finances in line with the delivery plan and resource changes

What you need to be successful as a PMO Lead-

  • PMO experience of supporting change within a large or complex business including systems development
  • Risk Management experience
  • Schedule and planning experience
  • Good budget management experience
  • Understand and awareness of pension schemes
  • Governance frameworks experience.
  • Understanding success and process.
  • Strong project management experience
  • Excellent Stakeholder management skills.
  • Qualification in Project / programme management e.g. PRINCE2, Agile etc
