Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a Strategic Planning Manager on a contract basis on behalf of our public sector client based in Dundee. This is a role which can be worked fully remotely.

Rate: £350-£450 per day/ Inside IR35 (flexible)

Contract Length: 3 Months

Working Model: Fully remote

The Strategic Planning Manager will manage the organisation's planning process, supporting staff with planning, prioritisation, and performance enhancement. The role engages with a wide range of stakeholders, including members of the organisation's Executive and Senior Management.

Duties Include:

• Managing the delivery and further enhancement of the organisation's planning process to ensure it is an effective and value-adding tool that supports the deliver of their strategy;
• Managing and developing staff number planning, enabling the effective integration with the wider planning and budgeting processes;
• Ensuring that planning takes account of the changing external policy and competitive environment, including strategic risks and opportunities on the horizon, while remaining focused on strategic goals;
• Working with senior staff to understand their priorities, challenges and requirements;
• Identifying, assessing and managing key risks which might impair the smooth operation of the planning round;

Experience:

• Excellent digital skills and skills in data analysis, interpretation and reporting;
• Excellent service organisation, planning and management skills;
• Experience of providing specialist advice, and guiding and influencing stakeholders at operational and strategic levels;
• Experience in delivering briefings, presentations, and reports covering complex material concisely, in ways that are accessible to diverse customers and stakeholders;
• Good people management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and influence staff to deliver effectively, even where you do not have direct line management responsibility.
