Job description

Morgan Hunt are currently working with one of the UK's Ombudsman Bodies, in their search for a number of temporary Dispute Resolution Advisors to guide and assist parties in resolving disputes locally.

You will be responsible for guiding all parties, by providing telephone and written advice, in order to decide on the appropriate action (referral or conclusion) of complaints. You will be expected to deal with a high caseload, at pace and to a high degree of accuracy.

The role would be perfect for someone with strong front-end customer service or complaints handling experience (ideally within Local Government, or a Housing Association). You will have experience in a telephone-based role with strong communication skills, customer service focus and a strong sense of social justice.

Job Title: Dispute Resolution Advisor

Location: Remote

Hourly Rate: £19.00 - £22.00

Job Type: Temporary (3 months, with likely extension or permanency)

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)

Start Date: July 2022

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising and guiding a range of stakeholders on dispute resolution
  • Making appropriate decisions to refer or conclude complaints
  • Identifying key information relating to complaints to advise decisions
  • Collection and registration of complaints
  • Proving a high level of customer service
  • Capturing all key information relating to complaints - through investigation and questioning parties
  • Responding to requests in a timely and accurate manner

Personal Specification

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to analyse and collect information objectively
  • Detailed knowledge of Housing Law
  • Demonstrated experience of complaint handling to a high standard
  • Ability to work to own initiative (Proactive)
  • Planning and prioritising skills - managing a multiple task workload
  • Ability to work collaboratively and seek advice when required
