PR & Press Officer- London/Remote - 2 year FTC- Up to £38,000 (DOE)


Morgan Hunt are working with a well-known housing association who are recruiting for their new PR & Press Officer.

This is an exciting position suited to an experienced Press or Public relations professional.

As the PR & Press Officer you will be responsible for;

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of external communications plans.
  • Deliver PR and communications projects and campaigns and manage day-to-day requests.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the department's press office, managing press enquires and delivering a media monitoring and reporting service.
  • Deliver proactive media relations, including producing press releases to achieve positive coverage, developing and selling-in features to the media and building strong relationships with key journalists.
  • Improve the Group's communications with external audiences, measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of activities, undertaking regular reviews, and developing new approaches
  • Provide a copy writing, proofreading, editing and print production service, offering advice and liaising with suppliers
  • Research and maintain accurate content and publish across offline and online platforms.
    Promote and monitor the Group's corporate identity, providing brand assets and advising on their use to ensure consistency.


Skills and Experience needed your role as a Press and PR Officer;

  • Experience of working in a busy communications, PR, or marketing environment within a large organisation
  • Experienced managing press enquiries, including writing press releases, interview briefings
    Developing and maintaining strong relationships with journalists
  • Experience of managing projects using a range of tools and tactics, including: Campaigns, Creative design, Email marketing, Publications, Social media
  • Copy writing, editing, proofreading skills for different audiences and online/offline purposes
    Email marketing production and evaluation skills, using email service providers and Google Analytics
